Dec 13 Show in Newark NJ
quick update we're playing a show at The Spot Lounge 45 Commerce St in Newark on the earlier side at 6.30. so if you live in newark (i don't know anyone who does), then come on down and bitch at me for hating Newark before i even got there. bring a (cherry) tomato..

Guerrillas win over East Village Radio
First there was Rush Limbaugh. then came Jeff at East Village Radio. when I stopped by last week to drop of the WAR album, I didn't realize he was walking into some dick's super-eclectic non-musical radio show called Just Music. a seemingly cordial interview was, in fact, a tongue and cheek ridicule of me.
Fast forward one week later and i'm still pissed! it is a weekly radio show, and it was about to air that night. i called up Rcyn and Shockwave and we headed down to the station with a plan (my original plan was to make DJ Jeff play a song off the album. Shock talked me out of it and we decided to tag the station with stickers)
So we're tagging the station and Jeff started freaking out from behind the glass. he came out, realized who i was, and got a little nervous. he couldn't believe that i actually tuned into his show to hear myself being trashed. "Relax, the stickers come right off" i said, but continued that i couldn't understand why an east village radio station would trash an east village band and "i TOLD you i live in this neighborhood!" Jeff explained that he has a dick radio persona and his listeners understand that, and that he DIDN'T really throw my album out into the street like he had said he did on last week's show. he then invited us in for another try at a cordial interview with his partner Casey. they were intrigued with the Rush Limbaugh story and played Lazy Fat Stupid American off the album, since i seemingly argue with radio personalities for a living.
They surprisingly liked the song, and in the end everyone came together for a common cause: just music.

wrapping up war
WAR, our first album, is under wraps. we're putting the finishing touches on the artwork and wham! should be out in 2-3 months depending on corporate bureaucracy involved in releasing.
ha -- just kidding! there is no corporate anything at the shack. just a bunch of growing kittens, vegetables and fantastic artists (who grow metaphorically, unlike the tomatoes). but we are doing everything in our power and on our own to make sure this album is HEARD .. it's simply too good to be released poorly. so keep on the lookout for that.
and we're almost live. the band that is. it's been surprisingly hard to find the right musicians, but we're close. GG -- soon to be coming to a dive near you..
